She sat in the empty bedroom, looking around half expecting to see the unfinished Never Land sign..but she knew it wouldn't be there..she knew it was thrown out with everything else. She stood up and walked downstairs, she walked to the closet where most of their late night conversations had taken place, she sat there..she could still hear his voice, his laugh, his heartbeat..she realized how much she missed him..
She was reluctant when they told her it was time to go. She pulled the hoodie tighter and walked out into the cold October air. They wanted to give her a ride but she refused and said she would walk. They said their goodbyes and drove off. She walked home in complete silence, afraid that if she even thought about him she would break down on the sidewalk in the middle of town..she walked into the house and stumbled to her room..once there she turned up her iPod and layed on the ground..she did this every day now, it was like a ritual..she thought of how she could have stopped him..she snuggled into the hoodie...his...hoodie..the only thing she had left.
She looked at her new converse, they matched her homecoming dress..the one she wouldn't ever wear. She hated that dress now, she wanted to burn it but they wouldn't let her. She hated all the memories..she wished they would go away..she didn't want to remember him anymore..
